Casa Ladera accommodations include a large living
room with 60" plasma TV, formal dining room
for 8 or more, kitchen with electric oven and gas
cook top stove, 2 baths (master bath has shower
only), central sky-lit lanai, master bedroom with
a king-size bed, second bedroom with a queen-size
bed, third bedroom with two twins, secluded upper
patio, lower landscaped terrace, and off-street
parking for 4 vehicles. All bedrooms have their
own LCD TV's. There is no smoking, the Casa is pet-friendly
with approval and there is easy on-street parking
for additional vehicles. The property is handicapped
accessible and is family and child-friendly. For
larger groups (10+) a separate suite on the lower
level with king-size bed, study and bath can be
made available.

living room
The living room is an extremely comfortable space for
lounging with a large leather couch and two matching armchairs.
There is a fireplace and 60" plasma TV with cable and
DVD player. The windows look out onto the lush back gardens
and the remaining furnishings add to the grace of this
room.

dining room
The dining room at Casa Ladera is perfect for a sit-down
dinner for 8+ or an beautiful buffet setting. The dining
table is a solid mahogany converted square piano with
matching balloon-back Victorian chairs. Peeking through
the window are windswept junipers and the room is adorned
with a crystal chandelier and paired sconces.

lanai
The lanai of the Casa is the heart of the house floor
plan. It is central to the living room, dining room, kitchen,
stairway to the lower level, hall to the bedrooms, and
upper level patio. It is complete with a large filtered
skylight and a Mexican saltillo tile floor.

kitchen
The kitchen, with its cobalt blue tiled counters and copper
backsplash, is a desirable environment in which to prepare
culinary delights. With a separate door to the patio,
this kitchen design lends itself to catering and patio
entertaining. It is stocked with an extensive array of
kitchenware, a full-sized microwave, refridgerator, large
dishwasher, electric oven and a four burner gas cooktop.

upper patio
Both the central hall and kitchen open onto the upper
patio which is enclosed with rose bushes, stucco walls,
trees, and a plethora of potted plantings. With a large
redwood dining table and chairs, and bamboo settee, the
patio is a place to relax, listen to the birds, dine and
entertain guests. Here, too, there is a chimineria and
a firepit to ward off the chill of an evening.

master bedroom
The master bedroom boasts a marvelous view of the lower
terrace and gardens, and its own bath with shower only.
The king-size mattress is of superior quality and there
is plenty of storage in the dressers and closet. Appointed
with antique tapestries, Queen Anne highboy and LCD TV,
this is the place to relax after a long day of La Jolla
exploration.

second bedroom
The second bedroom also looks out onto the lower terrace
and lush gardens. It is furnished with a queen-size double
spool bed, Japanese woodcuts and prints, an LCD TV and
is home to the Casa's library. Occupants share a full
bath with the third bedroom just at the end of the bedroom
hall.

The third bedroom, adjacent to the shared full bath, is
furnished with two twin beds. Known to some as "the
yellow bedroom" this room is favored by the kids
as it is the most removed from the house proper being
at the end of the bedroom hall. It, too, has superior
quality mattresses and an LCD TV.

lower terrace &
gardens
The terrace and gardens behind Casa Ladera are the home's
hidden jewels. Designed and landscaped by the owner, these
create a magical and ethereal experience any time of the
day or night. The secluded brick terrace, dappled with
a canopy of lush trees, comfortably accommodates a large
grouping or a lone seeker of peace and tranquility.
