old world elegance
Casa Ladera is a prime example of Old World Charm from the living room to the upper patio and lower terrace where one can sit and enjoy the outdoors wrapped in the quiet of Mt. Soledad. In 1960 the daughter of a Vice Admiral and widow of a Navy Doctor settled here to raise her only child in the hills behind La Jolla.

She surrounded herself with the furnishings collected from four generations of Navy Officers' travels. The house is decorated with this sense of eclectic history and is a rare treat among vacation rentals. Chinese, Japanese and antique collectibles grace this home with beauty and distinction.

The livingroom, with leather couches and a 60" plasma TV, is a great place for family enjoyment. There is a formal dining room which comfortably seats 8 or more. The kitchen, with a separate door to the patio, is decorated in Spanish tile and updated for any modern cook. A sliding glass door between the central hall and the 800 square-foot upper patio seamlessly joins the interior space with the outdoors.
